    Antonino Raffone completed a Master in “Psychology” and a Doctorate in “Cognitive Psychology and Science” at Sapienza University of Rome. He is currently Full Professor at the Department of Psychology of Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). He is also Director of the Interuniversity Center ECONA and of the postgraduate degree in “Mindfulness: practice, clinical applications and neuroscience” at Sapienza University of Rome and Chief Editor of the Specialty Section on “Consciousness Research and Mindfulness” of “Frontiers in Psychology”. He is also Chief Editor of the second edition of the Encyclopedia of Consciousness of Elsevier, and Member of the “Mind & Life Europe”. His internationally recognized research is interdisciplinary and multi-method, with a particular focus on psychology and cognitive neuroscience of consciousness and mindfulness meditation, as well as on their theoretical understanding. He is also currently engaged on foundational theoretical work on cognition and on a contemporary understanding of Buddhist psychology, as well as on pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors.
