Heyoung Ahn received his doctorate in Adult Learning from Columbia University. He completed MBSR teacher training at the Center for Mindfulness(CFM) and first introduced MBSR to Korea in 2005. In 2010, he became the first Korean to receive official MBSR certification from the MBSR headquarters.
Dr. Ahn is an International Certified MBSR Teacher Trainer and MBCT for Life Teacher Trainer. He is Director of the Korea Center for Mindfulness(KCFM), where he leads mindfulness teacher training. He has served as Endowed Chair Professor and Vice President at Seoul University of Buddhism, Fulbright Visiting Scholar, and President of the Korean Mind-Body Health Association.
He currently serves as Managing Director of Global Mindfulness Collaborative(GMC) and holds leadership and advisory roles in multiple mindfulness and integrative health organizations in Korea.
